Dovizioso set for collarbone surgery after motocross crash
The Ducati Team rider is to undergo surgery later today in order to be fit for the opening round of the 2020 season
Ducati Corse broke the news on Twitter that 2019 MotoGP™ World Championship runner-up Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) sustained a left collarbone injury during a motocross race in Faenza, Italy.
After suffering a crash during a motocross race in Faenza, @andreadovizioso has sustained a left collarbone injury. After consultation with Prof. Porcellini, the Italian rider has decided to go into surgery this evening, in Modena, in order to be fit in time for the 2020 MotoGP™ season-opener in Jerez, at the Gran Premio Red Bull de España on July 19th.
