MotoGP™ returns to the United States of America this weekend for the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, meaning Sunday’s main event will be lights out at a slightly different time to normal wherever you are in the world. Do not forget that Austin is set on GMT-5, as you work out when all of the action from Friday to Sunday gets underway. Click here to easily check when every session starts in your own local timezone.
How excited are the MotoGP™ grid to be returning to America?
The major change to note is on Thursday when the Press Conference previewing Round 15 of the MotoGP™ World Championship starts at the earlier time of 12:00 local time (GMT-5), rather than the usual 17:00. From then on, the schedule follows the same timings as usual. MotoGP™ have their first taste of COTA in two years at 09:55 local time on Friday, before they roll out of pitlane for FP2 at 14:10 local time on Friday afternoon.
All of the frantic qualifying action in the premier class kicks off at 14:10 on Saturday, before the MotoGP™ race fires into life at 14:00 local time on Sunday. All of the weekend's timings are below and are set in local time for Austin, Texas, at GMT-5.
