The Iwata factory will unveil their new colours and bike on January 17th from Jakarta as they look to reclaim the World Championship title
With a new year comes new opportunities, and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ Team is ready to tackle the upcoming season with renewed vigour. Aiming to put some of 2022 disappointments behind them, the Iwata factory will unveil their brand-new team colours on Tuesday, January 17th at the Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing’s 2023 ‘3S Dealer Meeting’ in Jakarta, Indonesia. The presentation will take place at 10:00 local time (GMT +7).
2021 World Champion Fabio Quartararo and 2020 World Championship runner up Franco Morbidelli, will also be showcasing their brand new 2023 Yamaha YZR-M1 at the event. Undoubtedly, Quartararo will be determined to reclaim his position as the top rider in the MotoGP™ world after narrowly losing his Championship crown to Ducati’s Pecco Bagnia last year. He will be working hard to fine-tune his skills and strategies to make sure he is back in the game, fighting for the number one spot.
On the other hand, Morbidelli will be aiming to rediscover the form that has seen him take three premier class race wins and two additional podiums. He will be hoping to regain the confidence and consistency that made him such a threat in previous seasons.
The 2023 MEYM Digital Press Kit, including pictures and videos of the new team colours and bike, will be released on the same day on Yamaha’s website plus their social media channels, while motogp.com will also bring you the very latest news from the event.
For those who can’t catch the unveiling in Jakarta, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch up with the team and riders before and during the forthcoming Sepang Test in February, which is now just four weeks away.
